It is the year 2266. The Klingon Empire and United Federation of Planets are locked in a century old Cold War, fighting for superiority, resources and galactic influence, and seeking to undermine one another in these efforts. Battle is frequent. Conquest and Exploration constant. Total war a looming prospect. On the borders of the Empire also lay other enemies: the enigmatic Romulans, the mysterious and xenophobic Tholians, the warrior Gorn, the vicious Kzinti, and the Orion Pirates.

You are a Klingon warrior, serving aboard the D7 Battlecruiser IKS Korath. The Klingons are an ancient race, bred in tradition and battle, and have conquered throughout the stars for centuries. Klingons are adherents to a doctrine of Honor, and most will seek to become Warriors and to bring glory to their race and nation. There is no higher honor than to die in such service. As a member of the Imperial Fleet, you will maintain the security of the empire and ensure its prosperity.

You will explore new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and conquer or ally them, destroy and undermine enemies, and bring glory to the Empire as no Klingon has before.


"But What If I Don't Know How to Play a Klingon?"

You do not have to know everything, nor even that much to play a Klingon. While knowledge of Klingons is a bonus, all that is necessary to play a Klingon and to play in the simm is a basic understanding: That the Klingons are warriors who believe in a code of honor, and hate the Federation. Much of that honor, and perhaps most, comes not from cultural consensus', but from what a warrior personally believes is honorable. Playing a Klingon is largely interpretation and characterization based on those basics. All that is required is competence. Anyone can be a Klingon.

Beyond that, we have a concise database for basic information in place and being worked on.

The head honcho positions are largely still open, as are most other positions. And we have a couple prospective players now as well.
