The cast was nice (especially the "big three" - Archer, T'Pol and Trip) but some of the lower characters like Hoshi and especially Travis were kind of wasted.

I wish Hoshi and Travis had more stories. I like both of them, so that would have been nice to see.

I love the whole cast. I can never choose a favorite character, LOL!

My favorite is without a doubt Malcolm Reed but I also really like Trip.

I love the entire cast, can't say that I really dislike one character. There should have been more character development though but I still like how they all seemed to mesh together. Ah if it only lasted another 3 more years, think about what we missed

I really liked all of them, but it would have been nice to see Hoshi develope into a stronger character, which I think she would have in another season or two.

Personally, I wish they had focused a bit less on T'Pol and Trip and flushed out Reed and Hoshi more.

Plus, in the next season that wasn't, it would have been awesome to see Shran join Starfleet.  Shran is without question the best character to me.  He would have been a great fit to the crew.

Linda Park (i.e.Hoshi) was excellent in "The Vanishing Point."

Blalock was the best Vulcan ever because there were plenty of episodes in which her character was fleshed out.

Archer needed more facets so as to be a stronger charatcter.

Trinneer was very strong in "Simlitude".

The writers let Montgomery (i.e. Mayweather) down. Not enough time spent on his character.

Keating (i.e. Reed) was the one character I'd like to have seen developed most of all. "Shutle Pod One" is one of my five favorite Star Trek episodes ever. ETT

I always get really attached to the crews, in all the shows and movies. My only exception is DS9, which I could never get myself to be interested in.

I really like the Vulcan characters. There is something really futuristic about the characters that are Vulcans, especially Spock (obviously) and T'Pol.

Overall, I think they casted ENT extremely well. Third-best casting in my mind, after TOS and TNG (respectively)

Since my normal farewell would seem oddly self-serving, I shall simply say, 'good luck'.

Do you think that you rank TOS and TNG as your top two in this regard because of Nimoy and Sir P. Stewart? They are considered the most talented actors in the ST universe. Just a thought.

Well... I have mixed feelings about the cast. Certainly it's not their fault, they had to go with what the writers turned out. So I'll just focus on the characters themselves rather than a group of people doing their jobs.

Archer... well, I can't say this character impress me at all. His phobia on Vulcans was... illogical is the most fitting word. The fact that he took his dog in space is just silly. The fact that he takes his dog down for a first contact and it gets the aliens sick, mad and kicked off the planet, is just stupid. Especially that he didn't even care for anything more than his dog being hurt. And he gets his butt kicked in every other episode, needs to involve himself in every little aspect, and is irrational at best. Obviously the weakest link of Star Trek captains.

T'Pol... well naturally she was selected as eyecandy, with the skin tight suit but anyways. She was rather emotional for a Vulcan, but they later explained it away in some technobabble disease she had. She did have the most thought out character arc of the cast. No coincidence they focused more on her because of the aforementioned eye candy.

Reed... the quiet, competent character... that no one listens to. I liked him, he did his job, kept to himself, and hoped no one around him would get him killed. His conflict with the MACO Major(I forget his name) was an interesting turn and I liked how he was a Section 31 sleeper too.

Mayweather... I dunno. Almost seemed like they just threw in a token black guy and didn't even think of a backstory beyond he's the pilot and he was on a cargo ship, which he spends a third of his lines throughout the series mentioning.

Hoshi... I actually liked the fact they threw in a character with some obvious personal flaws into the series. It could have been great character devolopment, but instead she spent most of her time as a glorified cell phone.

Phlox... I actually liked his cheerful and alien demeanor. It was there but not to the point of being annoying like Neelix was. Other than that, yeah... they needed a doctor so he was there.

Tucker... I dunno, he just seemed forced, artificial and ingenuine. He didn't seem that smart and the redneck accent didn't help. I half expected him to turn the engines on to full and yell YEHAW! His relationship with T'Pol was interesting, but obviously she had to hook up with someone.

The crew had it's flaws to be certain, but really the potential was there and we saw some of it in Season 4 when the episodes started getting good. But really what doomed Enterprise was the lackluster writing.

Ah...Jeffrey Combs did a great Shran.  I loved the Andorian stories. And, you are right in my book as well as my young daughter who has now been recruited into the Star Trek Universe.  We definitely love Trip and T-Pol relationship and Capt Archer's growth and Reed and the doc.  I personally didn't care for Hoshi and Travis.  Travis was definitely wasted and he was probably bitter about only one storyline.

The funny thing about Mayweather is everyone probably would have loved him if he was just a regular guest star. Given how little screen time he got, that's pretty much what he was. Pity half his lines had to be "Hey I've been in space before on freighters!"

As for Jeffery Combs... not sure the man can do a bad role. Always liked how he called Archer pinkskin for some reason. If there's ever a new ST series, Combs phone should be the first to ring.
