Obama is, once again, redefining stuff.  In his weekly Saturday address, he stated that in the USA, medical insurance is now “your right.”  Once again.... a right is something that you automatically have - given by God or nature (depending on your view.)  A right does NOT require something of someone else.

The idea of having a "right" to medical insurance is as ignorant as a right to a phone or computer or car or anything else.  And remember, the idea of "insurance" is relatively new - which means that it cannot be a "right" because it hasn't always existed.

And once again... the government is attacking marriage.... this time via Obamacare.

Based on the the law and using the Kaiser Family Foundation’s online subsidy calculator, here's an hypothetical example:

A 50-year-old divorcee with three children who earns $47,100 a year would be faced with an annual health insurance premium of $11,140. However, since her household income is only 200 percent of the FPL for a family of four, she would receive a subsidy of $8,172 to keep her insurance cost to 6.3 percent of her income, or $2,967.

Our single mom meets a 56-year-old man who makes $63,000 a year and pays an annual premium of $7,041 with no subsidy because his income exceeds 400 percent of the FPL for an individual.

As long as the two remain unwed — even if they choose to cohabit — they will pay a total of $10,008 in insurance premiums each year, with taxpayers picking up the rest of the tab. But if they decide to tie the knot, their combined income will make them both ineligible for a subsidy, and they will therefore have to pay the full cost of their insurance, which will now come to $18,181 a year (almost double,) or 16.5 percent of their income.

And now... UPS drops spousal coverage, teachers (Hamilton school district in NJ) get hours cut due to ObamaCare.  Yes... both of these specifically cite Obamacare as the reason.

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius wants all the illegal aliens made legal in order to sign them up for Obamacare.... Talk about overwhelming the system with a redistribution of wealth scheme!

Wow... talk about a tyrannical dictatorship.... Obama's interview with CNN made it clear his views - this government should NOT be representative of the people.  He stated that the Congressmen should ignore their constituents and vote to fund Obamacare, even though the majority of people don't support Obamacare.

Why am I not surprised...  Obamacare made a grant to go brainwash kids at school to promote Obamacare to their families....

I wonder if the kids get graded on how successful they are in coercing their family to sign up?

40,000 members (longshoremen) leave AFL-CIO citing Obamacare's "Cadillac healthcare tax"... They also cited a few other things, like imigration reform, etc., but Obamacare was #1.  (In my reading of it, the longshoremen didn't think it was socialist enough, instead wanting full socialist medical care.)

Remember when the AFL-CIO (unions) demanded Obamacare?  Remember them going around and making ultimatums to congressmen to vote in support of Obamacare?  I think it's so funny that the AFL-CIO is now throwing such a huge fit over increase of medical care costs due to Obamacare....  Yesterday, the AFL-CIO approved a resolution anyway calling the law "highly disruptive" to union medical care plans.  So the plan that they pushed so hard for is "highly disruptive" to their other plans?

I guess this proves that they can't "think beyond step one."

And of course... Obama's administration was calling union leaders and telling them NOT to voice their opposition to the Obamacare dictates publicly.
