Its an age old argument but heres a great breakdown on why Kirk makes such a good captain. Thought you might enjoy reading it. There are a lot of good points which are always fun to argue about. Hes a much better all rounder compared to the others.

Jesus, has Abrams done that much damage that we have to use phrases like 'the original universe' when talking about key TOS characters?! This is even worse than I thought...

I think the most important thing they forgot in this article is determination/resilience, i mean, there must have been 100+ times that he's been in a dead end situation, only to make it out because he keeps on trying and never gives up.
