Just a prediction:  In a few months we will be told that January was one of the 2 or 3 hottest Januarys on record.  Why can't they just say we had a cold month?

No response must mean you all agree.

Because the truth doesn't fit their agenda.  They made the "hockey stick" prediction and made a lot of faux promises....  They have to redefine stuff to make it stick to their idiotic projections.  (So much for using the scientific method.)  There were even some "scientists" who said that all the polar caps would have melted by now (instead of being the largest in recent history) and that we would no longer be seeing snow by now.

I remember when I was a kid, climatologists were claiming that we had "global cooling" and were entering into a new "ice age" and were wanting to find ways to melt the polar ice caps.

I don't understand why people don't think there are cycles.  Our sun has cycles, and they don't think that influences the climate on earth (and the other planets?)  What about cosmic cycles (influences beyond just our sun?)  Since the earth has had an ice age before, and we know that SUVs and other industrial emissions didn't contribute to bring about "global warming" to get the earth out of the ice age, doesn't it stand to reason that climates are cyclical - some cycles lasting over thousands of years?

I've always thought so. Our planet is continually going through ice ages and heat ages.
