Does anyone think that the writers and creators of Star Trek:TNG should have made a female android for Data to have as a soul mate? Perhaps Geordi notices how Data has bad luck with women and decides to create a lady for him 

Or would it end up to the same problem again?

@ Mr.Rusty: Interesting point and thanks for the compliment . But if Geordi would be playing "God" with creating a lady android for Data then wouldn't Dr.Soong be playing "God" as well since he created Data and his siblings? Not to mention he created himself an Android wife after his real wife died. 

@DataWorffantotally: Two sons? What if Data had a son and a daughter? For some reason I'm starting to think that Lore and Data share a Cain and Abel theme since Lore (Cain) has always tried to get rid of Data (Abel) especially in the "Brothers" and "Descent Part 2" episodes.

I've actually had this thought before too, however I'd think Geordi would try to build himself an android girlfriend first. Data's practically a regular Casanova with ladies in comparison to Geordi's love life!  (Ah, the poor dear!) However considering the string of luck the series had with encountering other androids I'm afraid what sort of consequences would result from building Data a companion. I'd hate to see another android end up like Lal, or worse yet have them turn into another Lore-esque villain. 

On a semi-related note I've always thought the Federation should have encountered some more artificial beings by this point that weren't, you know... evil or neutral to the point of intolerance. I always thought it would be kinda neat if the Enterprise ran into (not literally) a planet that was occupied by artificial beings like androids. TOS kind of had an episode like this but the androids were sort of extra-galactic nannies and no where near Data's level of sophistication. Still, I think just knowing he wasn't the only droid out in space would make him feel welcomed. Besides it'd make for an excellent dating scene. 

@Mr.Rusty: I also notice that Dr.Soong and Davinci have one thing in common. They like to do egotistic art/inventions about themselves!!

My older sister is drawing Data in  Fabio style. If you don't know who Fabio is he's an Italian model and actor. He models for Romantic novels, Old Spice, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, and other ads.
