I hope you made it to the bathroom in time.

I had a weird dream when I was a child--more than 40 years ago!--that I still remember.  I have no idea why I dreamed it.

In this dream, I was in a village in the mountains, and all the streets and homes were built with volcanic rock.  (Later, I think it was obsidian, or something like that.)  The volcano there started erupting, so everyone ran inside their homes and locked the doors and shuttered their windows, with the same obsidian as their houses.  I ran from door to door, banging on them to open up and let me in, but no one would.  I woke up as the lave began flowing through the town.

I had the weirdest dream last night. I cant get it out of my mind it was so real. I thought about someone I havent seen in years and there was a few people in my dream, and we were in a barn and there was horses... It was so real I wish it was true.

About half of my dreams are distortions of the TV shows I watched the day before.

So, the last dream I remember was about running away from bad guys somewhere in the Farscape universe.

It was a walking dead type dream.  Trying to survive post apocalypse with random zombies around

I don't remember specific dreams all that often.  I will however dream about water in some state when its time for me to wake up and go to the bathroom.

@shika_narks:  Actually, yeah.  Haha.  It was me and Chiana driving around in a desert buggy/rover vehicle (from one of the season 3 eps).  She was driving, and I was shooting frantically at the hordes of bad guys around us.  I think we were trying to get to Moya (go figure )

When I was five, I dreamt that I was being chased through a department store by a headless mannequin.

When I was four, I dreamt that there was a bull in the house. It turned out to just be Dad's snoring screwing up my subconscious.

few years back i had a dream that i saw this giant Arapaima come up out of the ocean and swallow a  group of Humpback whales whole in one suck. It was awesome, i think that i was in Washington... below is the fish

I recently had a Star Trek dream, where I was on board a Federation vessel, working in Engineering.  At our briefing, the Chief Engineer told me he wanted me to run some kind of test on the equipment.

I said enthusiastically, "Yes, sir!"

He looked at me and asked me, "You don't know what I'm talking about, do you?"

I replied, equally enthusiastically, "No, sir!"

Then, he said he would show all of us (junior engineering officers) how to run that test, because it was something we all should know how to do.

I hate to talk about it because I do not want to seem like a Mr. Know it All, but for the third time in the week I will allow myself to (know it all!).

Technically speaking there is an answer to this question. From the age of zero up to and after puberty and a little into later teens children’s brainwaves run slower than adults.

Delta, Theta, Alpha and Beta are the most common brainwave patterns of healthy humans.

From the top down – Beta is a state of alertness we all experience when we are awake, active and/or working on something. Alpha is a state of light Hypnosis, Theta is a deeper state of Hypnosis required for therapy & suggestion – and serious medical operations (John Elliotson), Delta is the deepest state of Hypnosis known also as somnambulism.

Hypnosis as a tool of therapy allows the Hypnotist to utilise the imagination to help the subconscious transform. The imagination is all that matters, when the will and the imagination come into conflict the imagination will always win either good or bad – cause and effect leading to psychosomatic disorders and mental dis-ease. Children are in a state of hypnosis 24/7 and that is why their imaginations are wild, vast and infinite and their brains have to work like this to learn and develop here on Earth. That is why you can tell a child anything and they will believe you, Santa, Boogie Man etc…

As we get older we are pushed into the Beta. This probably has many reasons, as primates after being a ‘child’ and learning everything, early man had to hunt, protect the village, reproduce or whatever. They would not be able to do this in a state of relaxation. That’s a very quick run down and all from memory

OMG I had that same exact dream when I was little! It was so creepy. except it was meteors instead of lava!
