And it's a good thing that they did. I don't mind more than just 3 colors, but they division colors only appeared in the Starfleet chest emblem and the shoulders, and it's hard to keep track with everyone chaging uniforms constantly in TMP.

Gene actually didn't like the red unifroms because he found them too militaristic. They are definately the best in my opinion though.


Just goes to show that, dispite the fact that Gene created Star Trek, his instincts about the franchise were often very questionable...and sometimes dead wrong.

Indeed. If he had his way, TWoK would never have happened, and the franchise may hve just died with the second or third movies.


I don't think it's wrong of me to say that Nick Meyer was the best director any Star Trek movie has had.

I agree a counselor is medical, since a counselor tends to the ship's crew and they don't get to dissect a specimen.
