As many have you have noticed that there's Disney theme parks, 6 Flags, Universal Studios theme park, Knotss Berry Farm, Lego World, etc. As I've been going through these theme parks I've thought why can't there be a Star Trek theme park based on all of the series. If there were a Star Trek theme park I would definitley love to go!!

Wouldn't it be great if Star Trek's theme park was located near the Golden Gate Bridge where Star Fleet is fictionally located?

There was actually something called "Star Trek: The Experience", which featured two 4-D "rides" and looked like the DS9 Promenade. I think it got shut down, though.

That would be something I would love to go to. My husband likes Star Trek and my daughter has no choice but to at least know all about it....and if it were an amusement park she would love it anyway  That would be a wonderful idea...imagine people dressed as the Borg and Romulans and Xindi to name a few. And the rides and the gift shops. Oh what fun I would have!!!!!!!

And who knows, maybe a few of the cast members would show up every now and again....and those little 20 minute shows they do could be pieces of episodes.

Isn't the King of Jordan (who cameo'd in VOY when he was a prince) funding a Star Trek Theme Park or some kind of theme park with Star Trek sections in the middle east?

There were indeed plans to build a park called 'The Red Sea Astrarium' in Aqaba, Jordan.

Apparently, it'll open in 2014! I've always fancied visiting Jordan to see Petra, now I have another reason!

Actually Im supprised that there is not another Star Trek park in the USA. It seems like since the old one close nobody really cares if they open a new one or not. I wish we as fans were as obsessive as we were in the 60s. If we pushed hard enough another one would be build.

I agree, but maybe with J.J. Abrams's reboot with another film coming out in the next year or two, another generation of fans oand obsessees (including myslef) have arisen.  With the growing number of fans, I think it could be a posibility.  The main reason why a company would build a park would be for profit, and if a lot of people really want a theme park, it could be a very profitable Starship Enterprise.
