I trust the liberal media as much as I trust the conservative media.

Anyone else watch the video of Obama misspelling "RESPECT"?

Now, I think we all can agree that Obama is smarter than Dan Quayle and this was just a flub, but does anyone think that the lamestream propoganda machine will insult Obama the way they did Quayle?

I think s/he's referring to the Soviet Union where s/he was under socialist rule for most of their life.  The press was ran by the government, and it wasn't unusual for reporters to die if they said something not approved.  This is still happening today in Russa.

Here's Michelle Obama arriving for her visit in China.  She's wearing a dress that costs $3000..... yet I don't hear any of the lamestream propoganda machine complaining about how much her dress costs.  (Remember how they attacked Ann Romney for a $900 blouse?)  And this isn't the only time she's worn very expensive clothes - but the media has different standards depending on if the media is on your side or not.

Of course, I personally don't care how much anyone spends on anything, as long as they're spending their own money.  I just find the duplicity of the media obvious.

What "lamestream propaganda machine" are you talking about exactly? Fox News? They got some propaganda there.

I think it's funny that the ProRegressives have ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, etc. (plus the majority of the printed media) while the moderates have Fox, and the ProRegressives keep complaining about Fox.   (I guess it's because Fox's ratings are almost always higher than the others, sometimes higher than the others combined.)

No, I wasn't going to go through and list every show and article that did this.  I just remember that during the last campaign, the media eviscerated Ann Romney for her blouse, but clapped while Michelle Obama spent $900 on a handbag (purse?) or $6800 on a jacket, or dress, etc.

My point is the duplicity.  Feel free to do a little research.  I found several "stories" on multiple news sites talking about how "out of touch" Romney was, but praised Obama.  As I've said before, the First Amendment covers this - anyone and everyone has the right to say or publish thier viewpoint - no matter how offensive it is to someone else - nobody has a right not to be offended.  I just have same the right to point out their duplicity.  As Wilkow says, "If it weren't for double standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all."

I'm not going to do any research on this. I very rarely watch American news but just a few days ago I did watch MSNBC while they were talking about that Malaysian plane. They reported facts and when they speculated they said so. I got bored of that and switched the channel and found myself on Fox News. They were also talking about the plane and all they did was speculate and it was all about terrorism.
I'm aware that many of your News networks are very liberal and biased but I don't really care about the American political system so I simply ignore it. As I said I don't watch much American news but when I do I'm interested in non political news.
If I want an honest look at politics I will certainly not watch Fox nor will I watch any of the networks you've listed. I'll stick with Canadian news.
All that said I bring up Fox because it's the only American Channel that has any good programs (there's AMC and HBO but I don't think they do news) and so it's really the only one of the big 4 that I ever watch. You must admit though that Fox is pretty one sided and at times absolutely ridicules. Entertaining as hell I'll give them that!

Oh and I can assure you that Fox News is not for moderates. They are as one sided (if not more) that anyone else.

I guess it depends on your view.  If you watch Fox News (and not just listen to others that have an opinion without watching it,) you'd see that they have a range of contributors on the shows, from extreme left to moderate right.  When I used to subscribe to pay TV (I stopped doing that 3 years ago as it wasn't worth the cost to me,) I watched all of the channels.  The government's propoganda machine didn't have anyone from the right, but at least Fox had a dialog between most of the spectrum...

Also, please keep in mind that there's a difference between "news" and "opinion."  I don't count Rachel Maddow or Chris Matthews as news any more than I count Sean Hannity.

Oh, and I did just a quick bit of research and found something interesting: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2014/01/fox-news-once-again-most-and-least-trusted-name-in-news.html
