Hell no, being Vulcan must be terrible.. I cannot imagine surpressing emotions! It is not healthy. Better laugh out loud and ever burst with anger some times

How is it illogical to talk about something you enjoy with others who enjoy it?

It's very illogical. A vulcan would feel doing so a waste of time.

Enjoyment is an emotion. What purpose would a website like this have to a vulcan?

Exactly why I said what I said

But since I'm NOT a vulcan, I do enjoy this

There is a difference between controlling emotive affect and not experiencing feeling or enjoyment. Vulcans are categorized in the former set, not the latter.

I'm quite a bit like a Vulcan (in character). I'm also quite a bit like Spock (in character). That's unemotional on the outside, and emotional on the inside (hence my userid).

The aliens in Star Trek (and other shows) are usually representations of human groups and nature. There are people who are like, or much like, Vulcans in character. They would be misunderstood by society. What would be called a 'nerd' is one example. Also, I'm into Astrology, and such like. Typical people of the air signs (Libra, Aquarius, Gemini) would be - especially Aquarius. (That's also mine.) There'd also be some of Mr. Bean thrown in. (Aquarius is also the most misunderstood sign.) People also have many other influences.

In Astrology is also the belief about a particular zodiac sign dominating the world for about 2200 years, moving in retrograde. This affects religion, then character, and then history interpretation. Currently it's changing from Pisces to Aquarius - with 2012 being the last year of the Piscean Age. Anyway, I'd say that humanity in general is going to become more and more like Vulcans in character - through the generations. We mustn't suppress emotions, but be in control of them, not vice versa.

I'm not very Vulcan at alll. The only way I ever feel Vulcan is because I think I have a pretty logical mind. I don't usually guide my decisions based on emotions, but rather mostly logic.

But other than that...nothing Vulcan!! I can do the Vulcan hand salute with both hands, and that's about it.

And controlling laughter? NO!!! Haha!! I laugh WAYYY too much!! That will never happen.

Spocktype: is there anything Vulcan to astrology, too?

I don't understand the question.

I might understand it now. Perhaps in other words - is there any Vulcan logic to Astrology? Astrology is not to do with the physical, but the spiritual. Now, the Vulcans are also quite spiritual, mystical, and psychic. A good example is their mind-meld, and there's their rituals on Vulcan. (There's also a TOS episode where Spock is around a corner from someone and turns imaginary dials - influencing that person's mind. And in the TAS episode, 'The Magicks of Megas-Tu' Spocks adapts so easily to that alternate world.) Those also surely wouldn't be logical.

I'm a pretty good Vulcan. Disciplined. Good self-control. Rarely lose my temper. But, not a good one on the days when I'm super-silly.
