All the talk is about Kirk's girls, Spock's girls, Chekov's, Saavik, Majel Barrett but little about lt Uhura. She was the finest woman on the Enterprise for me. No other can hope to rival her in the Mirror! outfit. Well maybe Tonya Barrows, but she was a one hit wonder...

She was and still is a truly beutiful woman.

She got to take the conn once in TAS.

...and I got to drive my dad's car once. Not enough, is it?

Nichols is fantastic.  Did you know she sang her own songs?  Wonderful voice.  And did you know that when Kirk and Uhura were set to kiss in Plato's Stepchildren that they were orginally going to do two shots, one with the kiss and one without so the broadcasters could choice which to run, but Nichols and Shatner mucked every shot without the kiss so they never got a good shot of them not kissing.  Very brave!

Yes, absolutely - Shatner's retelling of that in the DVD box set doc is really amusing - i wonder how many actors would the the guts to do that now?

I think Nichelle's great and really enjoyed watching 'Lorelei' in TAS recently because of the great role she - and Majel Barratt - has in it - but how she must have wished that had been a TOS episode!

Yeah, totally. When Kahn hit her, I kinda felt like slamming a straight right to his face - big fat ring, right in his eye! Ouch!

Hwer fan dance in STV was awesome!

For sure a silly moment in what may be the weakest ST movie, but oh man!

I would have to say she is even more amazing now than in the '60s.
