I thought it suited better and that she was made for it.

She looked hot as an SF officer. Those Bajoran uniforms were butt ugly.

I liked it a lot.

Her hair looked great at that point too.

AGREED!

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

I'd like to see her in one of the earlier uniforms, with her shorter haircut. I'd also like to see Ezri in blue. Anyone have one of those photo-manipulation programs?

I'm sure someone's probably done that at some point.

I liked Kira in the Starfleet uniform. I don't mind the later Bajoran outfit that she wore in later seasons though that was pretty all right.

But those later Starfleeet uniforms are great -- there are few people they don't suit well.

It was strange seeing her in a SF uniform after so many years, but I enjoy the reason behind it. I still find the change strange when I pop in a DVD.

I like how Kira's hair style is telling of a particular season.

Well yes. They are pretty much the same uniform. They were introduced in First Contact so yeah, probably more appropriate to call them the First Contact model, since I've never bothered much with learning what year what happened in the TNG Era.

As a fashion item, she did look better in the Starfleet uniform than in the Bajoran militia.  However, from a story point of view I thought it was unnecessary; she could have gone in civilian clothes just as well.  Also inconsistent, in the past you've had to go to Starfleet Academy to be a commissioned officer in Starfleet.
