>I love Voyager for many of the reasons mentioned here: a woman in command, the great characters, the premise, the humor, the adventures, and the friendships.

I'll see your point(s) and raise you that in the end, Janeway performs the greatest act of love for her crew--sacrificing herself to get her crew back home!

I loved the design of the ship. I loved the characters. Some of the stories resonated with me so much, I still get goose bumps when I watch them. Living Witness, Distant Origins (Eyes open, Veer!). In Distant Origins when the actress Conchetta Farrel says the line "It would be in your best interest if I never saw you again" (Shudders) Species 8472, Hirogen, the best Borg episodes of any show even over the First Contact movie. And as a romantic , "Unforgettable" was just that. At the end of the episode, when Neelix talks to Chak about what love is----so eloquent, so true--I have that piece of dialogue memorized I was a child when TOS aired, and I have seen every Star Trek incarnation since, and though I love them all, Voyager was the best! My screen name since I got my first PC was and is Chakotay; am I a fanboy or what? LOL

I really don't know why I like Voyager. Heck, I don't know why I like Star Trek in general!! I just enjoy watching it!! There really is no favorite part for me.

What? Enterprise was awesome! It may have gotten off to a rocky start (which, I might add, all the others did as well) but Season 3 developed the characters a lot more, and Season 4 contained some of Trek's finest stories, in my opinion.

The main thing I didn't understand about Voyager was the relationship between the Starfleet crew and the Maquis.  I know the series explained how they worked out their differences, so they could all get home.

But, don't you think those who were really dedicated to the Maquis' cause--and had relatives on Cardassian-claimed worlds--would have returned there, to continue their struggle?  Or, was the conflict already peacefully resolved, byt the time Voyager got back to Earth?
