Definently with a beard, its just I can't picture Riker without a beard anymore because it has been the first time since I have seen the first few series of STAR TREK The Next Generation.

He looked too much like a kid back in the first season without the beard, but without the beard after he appeared with it... thats just not the same Riker

Will finally wound up with the beard, while Thomas was clean-shaven, wasn't he?

By the way, I always thought Thomas got a raw deal.

Thomas was kind of weird. He obviosly got stranded on a planet without the beard, but he had the exact one as Will when they picked him up. Maybe identical genes made them have the same instinct?

Later in DS9, Thomas had a goatee, instead of a full beard. So, no he wasn't clean shaven, unless that part of his beard was a fake too...
