Increase it as much as you can. Also try deleting unimportant stuff from your computer.

It's not even coming close to using as much as I've given it. And it's only maxing out at 15% physical RAM... (& the game only taking ~ 500M)
The one thing I noticed is that the monitor setting of the game seems to be set incorrecty. I've got three monitors (2 24" 1920x1200 and 1 19" 1280x1024) and the setting seems to want the 19" monitor. I'm trying to figure out how to tell STO to set for the larger monitor.

How do you open the bulkhead in the vault? I've got the security code block. When I click on the code nothing happens.

You have to click the code when it's highlighted yellow, and only then. If you mess that up, look for a Romulan shuttle nearby; if you give them one each of Provisions, Medical Supplies and Shield Generators, they'll give you another key (this one doesn't require any particular timing). There's also another "free" way of doing getting another key, but I can't remember what it is at the moment.

Wow.... I'm trying to play for the 5th time and the system goes down for the second time....
http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=259508
So... out of the 5 times I've played the game, I've only had 1 time that I haven't had some problem or another:
1st time: Worked fine. 2nd time: system was so slow, it was unusable 3rd time: Server crashed 4th time: no sound 5th time: no sound & server crashed

Okay - I do have a question - during the first time I played the game, I had sound from the game. The last two times I played (last night and today,) I've had no sound. (Yes, sound works from other programs.)
I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

Today (before the server crashed,) I noticed twice that there was a pile of steaming yellow stuff and I couldn't figure out how to do something with it...
Both times, it happened to be by something else that required an interface (like a turbolift or console.)
I know that sometimes if there are multiple things to do, it gives you a choice to select, but it didn't.

Were they in social zones? If so, they may be Hortas. They can be aquired as pets in-game.
