Is there a help file about Teams?
I think I know how to create one, but how does the team leader launch us into something? I've had someone do it before - launched everyone into the game, but since then, nobody else seems to know how.

(Sorry I haven't responded earlier - my account got banned thanks to a glitch, and by the time it got fixed I'd kind of forgotten about you. My sincere apologies.)
I don't know if there's a help file, but from my experience here's what you do:
Find the people you want to team with and invite them to the team (right click on them, then click "Invite to Team"). Then just accept the mission in question and head towards the start point - your teammate should get the mission hail around that point. Then enter the system at roughly the same time.
Hope that helps.

Does all the team members have to accept the assignment first?
What was happening is that the team leader would launch, but would go alone into the event - the rest of us would not join them automatically. We didn't get a popup accepting the launch of the vent.

Sorry.
1 - create team
2 - one person accepts mission
3 - same person goes to "In Progress" in mission journal, selects the mission and clicks "Share"
4 - team members are prompted to accept the mission; they accept
5 - enter system, continue on from there

Click the triangle under the mini-map, then "Visit the Bridge".

When you get there, you can visit the Ready Room, and then use the turbolift to visit engineering, sickbay, etc. This way you can do additional DOFF assignments that aren't available elsewhere.

OK so I finally got the MACO set. and am one away from the Omega one. Anyone know which is more useful? So far I do like the MACO shields.
Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

ok... serious newbie questions...
1. I've seen on STO wiki that you can get Zen for dilithium but I have yet to find how to do this...
2. I have one DOFF so far... what do I do with her? How do I send her on missions? Can I customize her? Do i ever actually get to see her?
3... I'm sure I'll think of more....
Anything I can think of to put here would most likely get me banned

Click the arrow under your mini-map, then click "Dilithium Exchange".

You can either put her on the Active Space/Ground roster (which gives you a small buff during missions), or send her on an assignment (click "Assignments", then pick one from either "Current Sector" or "Personal"), which reward Dilithium, skill points, and something extra.

I've read those. I posted this to ask the opinions of people who used them.

Make sure to go to the Personnel Officer in the NW bulding of the Academy (Federation) and request DOFFs. You will be able to do this every few days.
And as you do your DOFF assignments, you'll build commendations which will get you higher level DOFFs.
