New question. So my ship is all lvl 11 borg stuff, the STF bought things. Why does it seem like my ship takes awhile to destroy things when others seem to tear through the ships?

I have duel Antiproton and Tetryon beams on the front.

Poloron and Plasma beams in the back, with Quantum Torpedoes all around.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

You are Tactical right? If you are You should stink to one type of wepon for your ship like anti-proton. It is the best for tac and all but the projectiles should be that weapon type. But that is what I understand I don't know for sure.

You're flying what some call a "rainbow beam boat". Try using one energy type (ex: tetryon or antiproton) for all your energy weapons, along with maybe one torpedo launcher each on the forward and aft.

Next, make sure some of your consoles have damage buffs, for the appropriate damage type (no sense boosting phaser energy if you're not using phasers).

Finally, set up your power systems such that Weapons are at 100, Shields are at 50, and Engines and Auxilary are at 25 each. Trust me, you'll notice a difference.

Agreed that is the way I learned and the way I do it.

I change those depending on the situation.

That also is a good idea, espcally for your engineer.

My thinking was having one of different beams would be helpful so I guess I was wrong. Which beams do you reccomend? I mainly just do the STF lately. And do you really think I should only have 1 front and 1 rear torpedo tube and replace the other with another beam?

You need to use one weapon type, it drains your weapon power, causing less damage.

For Example

My Galaxy Retrofit has......

3 Antiproton Beam Array and 1 Quantum Torpedo Launcher

4 Antiproton Beam Array on Back

I don't know if they changed things, but when I played "Mine Enemy", I was able to pick up the Horta hatching, but I never got the "Schematic: Horta Mineralogy Research"... anyone know what I missed and how to get it (other than paying 700000 EC?)

I think it is one of the choices to get when you replay. Not sure. For mine I just bought it. But I think now I've noticed that you can get it by replaying I think.

What do I do with Passengers (DOffs)?  I can't seem to do anything with them and they're all listed as colonists.  Can I drop them off at colony or activate them for assignments?

Passenger can be used for certain colonial assignments. If you're just Doffing for Dilithium, I'd recommend just dismissing them - you get 75 Dilithium each. However, the missions usually reward XP and other bonuses you may or may not be interested in.

I'm trying to play the Arena (space) battles and every time I play, the Federation loses big time.  It's like the Klingons are completely impervious to any weapons and their weapons go through us like tissue paper.

Klingons have always had an edge in PvP. They're not impossible, but much more difficult than your average NPC.

Use precision attacks - focus on knocking down their shields so you can shred their hull. Also try to slow them down as much as possible so you don't have to maneuver as much. If all else fails, do a suicide run - your teammates will appreciate your sacrifice.
