Star Trek

So the game just went free to play. So I was thinking we should organinze. A star trek boards guild in one of the servers. 

I'm afraid it's not F2P yet. Former subscribers get to play now, but the actual F2P doesn't start until next Tuesday.

But the guild idea sounds good. Are you referring to an in-game Fleet?

really I'm saying anything. I never played STO. I only got inot MMO's about a year ago.

I'm downloading the game right now, but it's taking forever. I just want to start playing!

I'm sort of a STO veteran, but I have to admit I've never had any interaction with fleets. So I don't if I could be much help in this area.

I got it all set up last night, I took forever trying to figure out my character name, I decided to make him a decendant of mine.  My ship is the USS LOVELL.  My screenname is the same as here, so glad that wasn't taken.   Haven't got much past the first stage yet cause I needed to get some sleep, but I hope to see a few people around.

I'm waiting for new content to jump back in.

Im guessing that you need a legit gaming computer to play it right? Because my gaming computer isnt working at the moment..... would it be possible to play it on a laptop? Cause that would be just amazing.

I play on a laptop, so it's obviously possible. I guess it just needs to have a lot of memory.

It's quite posible. I play on a laptop as well. Just need to have decent memory, set the graphics low and keep it plugged in.

I use a laptop, too, and the game runs fine for me. And my laptop has a ton of issues, so that's definitely saying something, LOL.
