Would a Star Trek sitcom be something you might watch?

I dunno I really have had my fill of sitcoms. Can't say it leaves me brimming with enthusiasm.

I can't answer this question right now, because I'm working on putting together a poll that asks fans if Barney the Dinosaur should be the next Starfleet Captain in a new series. That seems equally appealing as a Star Trek sitcom.

I personally have had enough of the madcap Ferengi adventures and naughty Risa episodes. Ugh! A sitcom. Really?!

Episode 1, Season 2

Lt. Amedikai finds a strange, furry creature on Megalan VI while on an away mission and sneaks it aboard. The creature escapes and hilarity and hijinks ensue. Will Lt. Amedikai capture the animal before Capt. Belso finds out?

Episode 6, Season 3

The Cloning Apparatus Negutizer (C.A.N.) is acting strange after the USS Concorde passes through a strange ipicacemic reverse polarity anomaly. Capt. Belso was the last person to use the device and now there are dozens of Belsos on board. chopping the cloned Belsos in half only leads to more Belsos. Can the crew find a way to can the C.A.N.?

Episodes 17 and 18, Season 4

Lt. Com. Hornaye picked up more than he bargained for from his recent vacation to Risa. Everyone except for Dr. Kipuka and her staff are testing positive for a social disease. Will a cure be found in time? Special two part episode with an introduction from the Director of the CDC and sponsored by Trojan, the finest name in prophylactics.

Lt. Com. Baby Bop: Captain Barney, the reverse osmotic tachyon disruptors are failing rapidly. We need to act fast.

Capt. Barney: There's nothing. In. My magic. Bag. Com. B.J.?!

Com. B.J.: I'm giving it all I've got! I can't do anymore!

It would be difficult to pull off, but with a team of good writers, I think it could work.  I would definitely watch... even if to laugh at how bad it is.

>OK shall I tell you about a fanfic I read about a Star Trek sitcom.

>Its a TOS one. I'm sure there are other series ones about.

>Scotty, Chekov, Sulu, Uhura, Spock, Kirk and McCoy are stuck in Earth's past - the 20th century.

>They all live in an apartment in some American city. McCoy works as a porter in a hospital, Uhura in Hooters, Sulu an an actor, Spock in a health food shop, Scotty as a janitor, Chekov is a male prostitute, Kirk as a tour-boat captain. They don't want to get 'real' jobs as they are afraid of changing the past.

>There are about 5 stories discussing their wacky escapades, how awful they are as flatmates, their relationships, barbie dolls and an axe.

>Do you want to hear more? I thought not.

>

I almost died laughing! XD

But no! No Star Trek sitcom, ever.

It would fall flat pretty quickly - and anyway we have Galaxy Quest, which is hilarious, so that's enough for me
