Can't say I do much wondering in the halls of my ship. There's nothing really going on there.

I will say however that writting Captain's Logs has an appeal.

I'm just glad to have a way to live the star trek fantasy. With it going free, I hope a lot of people join in just to have a trek character and socialize.

I love how ships have been set up so they can take a lot of damage (like the Reliant) or get oneshotted (like the Sitak and Majestic) depending on your skills and equipment, and on who you're facing.

Once I got cocky from blowing away a Klingon Fleet at the Briar Patch, so I pitted my Miranda-class light cruiser against the Terran Empire in Beta Ursae Sector Block.

Big mistake. Fortunately, that Noble-class battleship got caught in the explosion.

Just started playing. It's really fun! I've only got one bridge officer so far and I can't even remember her name yet. Something with a T, I know that. But she's pretty helpful. She's an Andorian. I don't know how to get to any features but the actual game, so I could use some help on that. Please. Thanks.

My account name is Thaleen. Also free to answer any questions, though I will admit, The Old Repblic is robbing some of my STO time lately.

I'm not too far in it yet but I was looking around my ship and was wondering why do I have 20+ foot ceilings per deck? Makes me feel like I'm in a building not on a starship.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

They made everything huge because players can create their own species from scratch, and some of them can be pretty big. They don't want people bumping their heads.

That makes no sense since the doorways are the same, unless those get bigger too? I think that should have a limit on it. How many giants did they come across?

I think the limit is like 10 feet. I've certaintly met some people who design their character like that. But you're right, it doesn't explain the cathedral-like ceilings.

When this game first came out, I played for several months.

I might have to revisit it now that it's free...

You know I know its probably not what brings people into the game but I'm actually enjoying the Duty Officer Assignments, makes me feel more like an actual Starfleet Captain rather than running around shooting stuff all the time.

I loved the fact that they added those. I can actually give orders to delegate missions to others rather than beam down each and every time, and I receive reports from my officers.

All in all a very nice touch.

they should let us give officers who screw up a dressing down, like picard's first duty speech.

I run a tight ship.
