Yes, Quark's existed for too brief a time in Vegas. Couldn't the PTB approve Quark's Bars anywhere there are Trek Fans? Like, Everywhere? Glob knows, we all need a drink...

It Rocked. Nothing like it exists, made for the likes of us - just do a search for Quark's bar, Las Vegas and look at the images... sigh. With all the Trek fans in the World, you'd think the PTB would capitalize on that (in the spirit of all the Ferengi...)

Quarks could only exist within a trek themed park like the experience where it made sense in the promenade. The only type of trek themed bar and grill that could work outside that would be Ten Forward since TNG us more loved and known. But even then, such a themed place would only work in tourist centric towns like NY, LA, and Orlando.

Well, yes and no (IMHO). It doesn't have to be Quark's, could be more generic, like 10 Forward, as you say, or even less specific - just a Trek-themed pub (chain?). All pubs/bars have one theme or another. Look at, well, McFadden's (Irish...ish), sports bars, wine bars, jazz bars, gastro pubs, British pubs, obscene/annoying pubs (Hooters), etc.. Geek bars already include Robotics and Miracle of Science. Trek lingo is already part of the lexicon, why not Trek-themed pubs? Decent-sized conventions are worldwide. We are just about everywhere. And we like to drink. Romulan Ale is sold in cans already. And we know, TPTB Love to count their latinum....

And even those after a while close down because the interest isn't there anymore and or the economy won't allow for it.
I like the idea of it but it would have to be a one or two spot, like the place Cooter from The Dukes of Hazzard has. It is popular for Dukes fans but it is only in one place and people go to it.

Well they have a few Cheers bars don't they but that show was centered around a bar. As much as I like the idea I think it would just be too much of a specialty place to really be fanchised that way. What should happen is the Star Trek experience should be bought up by Disney or Universal and put in the theme parks. If Universal can build a Harry Potter land then surely they (or Disney) could set aside some space for Star Trek.
Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?
