How many times have you known this place to produce the anticipated response?

I don't understand why human/alien hybrids would be unrealistic.  There should have been more, in my opinion.

Honestly, I don't think there's too many at all. It's bound to happen. Look at just the population on Earth now for example, very few people if any if they trace their family tree back far enough are 100% anything. Countries go to war, unite, and/or pillage others. People immigrate, etc.

I imagine even alien species do the same, the most recent example was Shran and his wife, Jhamel on ENT. He was Andorian, she was Aenar, both native to Andoria and had their child, Talla. So, when species mingle with off-worlders, it's perfectly reasonable to think some would become romantically involved like Amanda Grayson and Sarek.

The Andorian / Aenar distinction was more along the lines of two different races than species. The question when it comes to, say, Klingon/Human is one of biological compatibility -- the only thing that would potentially make such a scenario (hybrid offspring) unlikely.

Some would while others would not. I can see Klingon/human. What I still don't get is Vulcan/human because how can they be compatible when their blood is copper based where human's is iron? I know there's more to it than that, but that fact alone makes you go hmmmm....

However, with all the medical technology of the 24th century, who knows?
