In Q Who, The Borg cube locks a tractor beam onto the dorsal surface of the Enterprise saucer section. Picard orders Worf to "Locate the exact source of that that tractor beam. Lock on phasers." I would expect that to mean the exact spot on the cube that was actually emitting the tractor beam, not anywhere on the cube. It took Worf 4 tries just to fire the saucer's dorsal phaser emitter. The first 3 tries, in spite of claiming to have a lock before firing his first shot, he fired the saucer's ventral phaser emitter which did not have line of sight on the "exact source of that tractor beam" and therefore could not have hit it.

Oh my GOD! Unwelcome and jarring proof that Star Trek isn't real and is just a flawed TV show!

I like how TNG looked like STAR TREK ... smelled like STAR TREK ... but was it's own thing and not just a recast of TOS.
Some on this site have complained about how there wasn't much in the way of in-fighting, amongst the crew and that this somehow detracted from its entertainment value. But, I find that's very much not the case ...
TNG was very much in line with Gene Roddenberry's vision and has his stamp all over it. I think it works for this spin-off, very well. And it's fantastic how the cast got along like their characters did. It's just a terrific program ... I LOVE it!!!
