Q: But you can't deny that you're still a dangerous, savage child race.
PICARD: Most certainly I deny it. I agree we still were when humans wore costumes like that, four hundred years ago.
Q: At which time you slaughtered millions in silly arguments about how to divide the resources of your little world. And four hundred years before that you were murdering each other in quarrels over tribal god-images. Since then, there are no indications that humans will ever change.

I would take Geordi as my first officer. His engineering and technical expertice would be very valuable.

Hmm that is tough I would say stay with Riker, I was thinking Data, but he does not have the intuition that Riker has.

>Everyone is saying Data, or Riker or Picard. .... I personally believe that Counselor Troi would be a good 1st Officer.
>Data would be 2nd
>Alexander (Worf's Son) would be at tactical
>Riker would have his own ship (put in a good word for him at Starfleet)
>Picard would be Admiral by then, so he would have a desk at SF
>Wesley Crusher would be traveling with the Traveler (spoiler alert)
>and I think some new minds from Starfleet Academy would fill in for CON and Science Station and even though she would be much older, I would love Beverly as Chief Medical Officer
>And I would like to have a sharp fresh-out-of-academy Bajoran for Security (Worf doubled as Security because Tasha Yar passed away)
>And of course, Jordi Laforge (who can ever replace him) would be either training new engineering cadets for my ship, though he is more than welcome to keep on as Chief Engineer
> |
Troi as a first officer has been seen as insufficient in the episode "Disaster" when she was very hesitant in making command decisions didn't know what some procedures were when O'Brien mentioned them and only about halfway through the show she gained her footing and realized how to take command. A little too late for me. It might seem like she would be a good first officer and provide good advice and support but she is a little indecisive and not commanding enough for the role.

Data would be the best first officer. I love when he initiates emergency procedures!

Although Data is my favorite I would still keep Riker as my Nmber 1. I see a Number 1 needing both knowledge and people skills And I do not believe that Data has mastered the people skills enough to be in that position.

Well, perhaps you're right. William Thomas Riker is good choice, but I think that Data has got a more advanced "brain" that could help him in the way like Spock. He's got emotions. He has also got the ability to do surprising things. Like in Star Trek: First Contact, he cheated the Borg Queen. This made him a great combination of Jim and Spock in some way.

Hello everyone,
My choice is Data, because he has been my all-time favorite Star Trek character for a long time. Spock is a very close 2nd, but he wasn't one of the choices.

Yes, Data is funnier and more down to Earth too, and therefore actually more human than Spock, even though Data is an android.
