Star Trek

The whole scene in the ready room. Stewart kind of had his own little 'Khaaaaan!" moment there. I also really loved the big space battle near the start of the film. Was blown away as a kid, was the first time I can recall ever seeing a big badass trek space battle (though I believe DS9 had a few like when the kilingons attacked, it didn't look at all this good). Too bad it was so short. 

I'd say the briefing room scene too.

I like the scene where Lily got lost with the group and met Picard for the first time. And Picard gave her a tour of the ship.

The scene with Picard and Lily about Moby Dick's quote is indeed very beautiful. In his book "The Impact of Science on Society" Bertrand Russell says the development of society is defined also by the philosophical way we use the technology. When Picard put aside his personal revenge feeling and find back his humanity, he shows that the tecnology development has no meaning if we loose ourselves.

I dig when Data yells "Captain!" after his face was having First Contact with the floor and the Borg pulled him inside.

I also like when Deanna is drunk.

There's just a bunch, but I'll narrow it down to three;

3) Geordi explains the statue to Dr. Cochran

2) Deanna justifying her drunkness, ending with a good all bang to the head

1) Picard's Mody Dick scene in the ready room.

at the end when the vulcan represenative says to zephram cochrane...

In FC, when the Borg Queen ordered Data to fire the Enterprise's quatum torpedoes at the Phoenix during her maiden  voyage, were Riker, Geordi, and Cochran even aware of the incoming torpedoes? Would the Phoenix's sensors have detected them? On a radar for instance? Or the radar would have been too primitive in technology to pick up the energy signatures of the torpedoes.

Speaking of the Phoenix, when it was being launched, wouldn't have everyone been incinerated from the blastoff of the rocket's ignited fuel in the encampment of people who were involved in the Phoenix project? They were practically next to thr launch site. Wouldn't they have to been a number of miles away at a safe distance from the launch site/missle silo like they do for a launch at Cape Kennedy?

when the E drops out of warp right into the scene of battle....kinda felt like...DANG!!

    Deanna: "Would you 3 like to be alone?" 

                               Picard and Data are touching the warp ship.

Me too, Deanna: "I'm just trying to blend in"

Riker: "You're  blended alright!"

I liked the last scene the best. The actual 'First contact'. It moved me.

My favorite scenes are the Battle of Sector 001 and the debate between Picard and Lily in the conference room.
