Data uses Stay free Peenie pads (to catch those post bathroom drips),

Nobody wears undies in the 24th century. They're a relic of our primitive, warlike past, along with drugs, racism, and toilets.

Scotsmen don't.

If I ever meet Spiner, I need him to weigh in on this.

Hmm, now I'm wondering if Scotty did.

There were some scenes in TNG where I'd swear Spiner was wearing something under his jacket -- an undershirt, a girdle, that sort of thing. Shatner clearly wore what the kids these days call a "wife-beater", though not in the scenes where his shirt was ripped open, of course.

Earlier and later spinoffs showed Starfleet-issue undies. In the TNG era, with their spandex onesies, what could they possibly be wearing?

Underwear is like money: you think you need it to survive, but by the 24th century we'll have realized we can get along without it. Some of us have already come to that conclusion. We are one step closer to utopia.

I liked the ENT era undies.  T'Pol and Hoshi sure looked good in them and my wife enjoyed Travis as well.

I do find the uniforms amazing in that you do never see underwear lines, no matter how tight or stretched they were.  The costume people did a great job in that regard.
