No really, they're profoundly lame. Since this site allows animated gifs, why did they get rid of the animated smileys? Or at least offer ones of better graphical quality. For example (of quality, mind you. Obviously these fellows would need more expressions to work as smileys):

I Borg'd yo mama last night. She found it very assimilating.

Yeah, I remember that. Ugh. Another basic board function gone down the drain.

That is why I ended up putting together a huge collection of GIFs I found on the internet. I love using them because they make emoting so much more... more. . .

... well, efficient.
