I watched Parellels I cant spell from TNG.   Concerning the Star Trek 2009 movie.  I like to think that Spock and Nero didn't go back in time into their past but in a past of a parrellel (again I cant spell) universe.  The Enterprise looked to different.   In Star Trek Enterprise in the mirror universe the Defiant was great.

If they went back into their own past timeline I would expect the USS Relativity, Daniels or Temporal Agents to fix it.

If they did go back to their past in their timeline then the original timeline is gone.   No TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager.  Enterprise remains unaffected.  To bad for the ENT haters.

What you think?  I know this has been talked about surely many times.   I'll say I don't like 40 years of future destroyed.  The history of Star Trek.   I wonder if their is a disease a kin to Obessive Compulsive Disorder in where well it don't matter what I do something could happen with the timeline so they just stay in their quarters on their ship.

It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want. - Spock

It is such a misconception that the principle Star Trek timeline was destroyed by Nero.

I think its such a misconception that an alternate timeline from the 1966-2005 timeline exists.

They have a Mirror Universe in Star Trek and several other AUs, so why the hell not?

Good call on the Mirror Universe, but that is established within the parameters of the 1966-2005 timeline.

Abrams' movie, thankfully, did not successfully establish itself to be a spinoff of the original timeline, as too many inconsistencies exist. It's only accomplishment is the ability to produce epileptic seizures, motion sickness, turrets, and possibly baldness unless treated with multiple alcoholic beverages.

But he didnt fail Starbase... he brought down the empire alright... just failed to turn it into a Federation and everybody became slaves...

As that logic dictates there have to be an infinite number of "mirror" universes. As some scientist believe in theory, everything that can happen does happen. If you have a descision to make that has 3 choices. once you make your choice, two more universes are created so the other two choices can be made. I personally think there wrong. Not opposed to alternate universes... just the theory that they mimic ours... Once your choice is made, its just made. The other options just fall away an you go on with life. The thought that to more of you are created to go on and live separeate realities.... over 6 billion people on this planet alone, all making at least one decision a day... so 6 billion new universes a day... not my belief...

The idea that there are a trillion of me's out there doing all the stuff i choose not to... thats just retarted. maybe there might be and evil twin out there in a alternate reallity but come on, if you take this planet with its billions of people and any other planets with sentient beings... you couldnt put enough zeros in a number to count the universes created in just the last ten years.... physics is physics not cartoon land....

And who are we to think that any one of us is important enough to have a whole other universe created just for us to make a descions about or little life.

It's not the parallel universe or the alternates timelines... dont think i buy into those... but i am open to the possibility. its more of i think there could be more then one "universe". I mean think about it, big bang theory, every this is at the center of black nothingness. Does that big black nothingness have a end... bounderes, like suggested by the great barriers mentioned in TOS and TNG, if so whats on the other side. Another universe? a big white or blue or red nothingness. the concept the it just goes on and on, that the big bang that has hurled us through space on a journey that cant posible end... if we had ships that could out run the Big bang, would we just find Black nothingness... something to think about

Yes i am aware of what those particular boundaries were for. but it seems to reason if the galaxy has boundaries and barriers so does the universe, like in "TNG: where no one has gone before" where the "traveler" took the Ent-D to the "egde of the known universe"
