Hard Time
Apocalypse Rising
In the Cards

Call to Arms
Inquisition

In the Pale Moonlight
Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges

Treachery, Faith, and the Great River. I always found this one boring for some reason.

Good Bye Inquisition. I liked it, but the whole section 31 thing was, just somehow, can't quite say, not sure, but not right, maybe, or something...

^ I was wondering how long my favourite episode would last.

Apocalypse Rising
In the Cards

Call to Arms

In the Pale Moonlight
Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges

Hard Time. It was a toss up between that and one other episode -- I can't even tell you what about this episode did not feel right. It was one of the best of the "torture O'Brien" episodes even though I was never a huge fan of that particular trope.

Have you ever danced with a Tribble in the pale moonlight?

Apocalypse Rising  Getting down to the final few.  Great episode, but lacked that particular oomph of some of its remaining competitors.

On the subject of Trials and Tribble-ations: great episode, but it lacked all the dramatic tension and character development that were the hallmark of DS9.  It stands on its nostalgic quality alone, and I think the best DS9 episode should be selected from those that are better representative of the series as a whole.

I Borg'd yo mama last night. She found it very assimilating.

In the Cards. Too lighthearted for best DS9 episode, in my opinion.

The tension is killing me.

Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges.  Didn't give me that "Oh holy **** that did NOT just happen!" reaction that the other two did.

And the winner is...

Difficult choice. But in the end, "Call to Arms" - while it was unquestionably a great episode - was just a big battle episode. "In the Pale Moonlight" was possibly the most indicative of DS9's uniqueness from the rest of the franchise - it was dark, complex, and it demonstrates how far some people are willing to go for their beliefs.

So without futher ado, I name "In the Pale Moonlight" the best episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine!

Yes!  Excellent choice!  In the Pale Moonlight was an amazing episode.  I don't think there's a more memorable (or haunting) line in the entire series than "It's a faaaaaake!"

I also loved Sisko's struggle to assuage his own conscience at the end of the episode, and learning to live with his choice.

Wow, this whole post idea I got from another poster in IMDB and In the Pale Moonlight won there to. Cool!

Honestly I thought when we started it would end up being that. (Although I was glad to see my two favourites last very long.)

I liked the comedies, like "Little Green Men" and "Take Me Out To The Holosuite."
