>Karl Urban did a great McCoy. Out of all the new cast members, I think he and Quinto are the most faithful to the original show. But his McCoy is a lot more spot-on than Quinto's Spock-in-love. His "all I've got left is my bones" line was just great. What they need in the next movie is a scene with the three of them arguing or him and Pine's Kirk just drinking and talking.

I don't know much about the original McCoy since every time I tried watching the original it's must too campy for me. I understand the effects were limited by being made in the 60's but I just can't get into it. I don't like any sci-fi from the 60's. Or very little anyway.
I am however really enjoying the 'new' original crew and looking forward to the next movie. So far McCoy and Spock are my favourites. As the movies progress I could easily see McCoy becoming my favourite Doctor.

No shame in that. Not everyone can enjoy all Trek. It hasn't been till recently that I started getting into DS9 (thank you Netflix).
I had no idea that those pics existed for other than the captains. Awesome!

Actually, I really have to agree with "Mantaray", and say that DS9's Dr. Bashir, was probably the best actual doctor. I also like him as a person. I know that Bones must be given credit for many things, one of which was common sense. I liked Beverly Crusher. The writers (hence producers) should have done more with her as a physician. But it was always "Inaprovaline" for everything. Voyager then changed the pronounciation of it, but used it as a panacea for whatever. Every now and then you heard of "cordrazine" again (TOS - City on the Edge of Forever). I just think that the writers actually made Bashir the best doctor, and that lovely actor, Alexander Siddig El Fadil, fleshed him out.

Dr. Crusher is my favorite. I also liked Katherine Pulaski the season 2 replacement. She was funny in the sense that she was clearly a female version of McCoy in every way.

Dr. Joe (Voyager's doc) would be the best. Robert Picardo portrays the character in such colorful ways. From the early beginning of just a mere EMH subroutines, to the experience as a ECH (Emergency Command Hologram), falling in love, his interaction with EMH Mark II on his trip to alpha quadrant, etc...

Bones from the new Star Trek 2009 movie was great, but as for the TV series, I'd have to say the Doctor from Voyager hands down. Robert Picardo is just awesome.

I liked Dr. Crusher the best. She is intelligent, highly skilled and more compassionate (in my opinion) than the others. Plus, she is beautiful and is a good dancer!
