I have two cats named Data and Lore (which fit their personalities perfectly), and have adopted the neighbor's cat as Geordi... Does anyone else name their animals after TNG characters?

Not yet (too young in ST...), but I have every intention of naming my next rabbit Mr. Spock! The ears, you know!

I never named a pet after a STAR TREK character,
but I did name a bird I had after the Golden Owl
in the original CLASH of the TITANS!

He hissed, bit and was generally a miserable bastard.
But I miss the little guy ... he's dead now.

We don't have any pets named after the ST universe, but I did work for an IT director that named all the servers after ST characters... we had WORF and QUARK and TUVOK.

That. Is. Epic. XD I should try that sometime soon... Except, I don't have any servers. I'll have to name my sites for Web Design class instead. Files names, that is. Not site names.

You should do it!! Funny part is that we had a bunch of people that had no clue what those names referred to and continuously butchered the pronounciation....

My son named his hamster "Jean Luc" and our cat's name is "Spot" of course.

Our Great Danes name was "Q", my son again.

Poor boy, what have I done to him?!

Not to mention all the ST passwords and pins I've used over the years.

Caalma, since when do we get to see Katy Perry on ST?

I am about to adopt a cat and name it I-Chaya, regardless its gender. And if I adopt a second one, which is very likely, I'll certainly name it Spot! Seems a very common cat name in english speaking countries, but it will surely be something unusual in my own. I can't wait!
