Hopefully, in today's world his sexuality will never be an issue. Zachary Quinto has embraced being a part of the Star Trek community - probably more than any of the other new movie actors. I hope all Star Trek fans continue to support him and appreciate his fine work.

If someone suddenly chooses to dislike Quinto's work as an actor because they learned he's gay, then that person is an idiot. WelcomeToQuarks has the right of it. He did a brilliant job with Spock, he's done good work elsewhere. His personal life has no bearing on his professional one.

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure why anyone 'coming out' is news. It's a personal thing- if you admit it somewhere public, then so be it. Doesn't need to be a headline anywhere, though.
