Visiting a recently discovered planet,Sulu is poisoned by one of the planets plant like beings.Investigating,the crew find that the poison was brought to the planet by a scientist whose clone has now taken his place.when the cloned scientist cripples Spock while to try to clone him, Kirk resorts to philosophy.

Reminds me of stories I heard about Japanese Soldiers in remote parts of the Pacific who were found years later not knowing the war had ended.

It's interesting to think there's a 50 foot Spock running around.

Personally I feel that the galaxy was lacking something without a 50 foot Spock.

That's true. But I wouldn't wanna see a 50 foot Spock whimping out when it came time for Sybok.

I liked that Walter ( Chekov) Koenig, who wrote the script for Infinite Vulcan,

managed to get his revenge for being excluded from the cast of TAS.

The plant that nearly kills Sulu is called the "Retlaw plant".

Walter spelled backwards.
