Where Should the Vulcans Establish A New Homeworld?

In the Abramsverse, Vulcans have no homeworld. Their culture is decimated and many of their sacred places lost. How and where should they rebuild? Do we already know of an appropriate planet for them? Do they even need a homeworld or homeland? Will it be the same with so many ritualistic places gone?

Would a new homeworld have to apply for UFP membership? Would they want to?

There are many questions for Vulcans in the timeline. How would you answer them?

I'm hoping they will pay a little attention to all this havoc they have wrought.  Especially when it comes to spock.  Will the vulcans become xenophobic?  will they be concerned with 'racial purity' as they try to re populate?  will spock be rejected because he is half human? Will they try to organize who breeds with who in order to make the race better?  will a seven year ponn far cycle go out the window?

P'Jem led my list. But would they not want to compromise its relative peace and obscurity by settling there? Also, it is more tropical and lush than Vulcans prefer. I thought they might would rather take a desert planet like Nimbus 3 from STV.

A similar thought crossed my mind. Would the Vulcans become isolationist? Then would they become racist and racism against Spock get worse. Tragedies of that scale tend to make cultures more closed minded.

Another ramification for their culture is now the Romulans have been identified earlier than in the prime universe with their revealing being when they destroyed Vulcan. Would this affect how other UFP species view Vulcans and would the Vulcans want an irrational war against Romulus? (hey, its happened on earth)

There are also presumably several Vulcan colonies they could go to.  Further there are several vulcanoid species in the universe, the vulcans might go searching further for their roots.

I think the more interesting question is will the philosophy of Surak remain the life philosophy of the remaining population.  There are several exampes of 'faith' being abandoned or significantly changed after devestating calamities.

I figure they probably have several colonies as well. By TOS times Earth had 2 major extra solar colonies right? Deneva and another? Makes sense the Vulcans had some too. No doubt those worlds already had many Vulcans. Or were they a one world type of people?

Servalanfan, the question is, would they WANT Spock breeding or would they want a pure blood line? I would fear the destruction of Vulcan would make them very racist.

Any old unpopulated Class-M should be fine, assuming they manage to find one besides Earth that *gasp* isn't a single-biome planet .

I Borg'd yo mama last night. She found it very assimilating.

^ You and Captain Saavy can kal if fee for that privilege, not that it would help the Vulcan population much. I'm sure 2takes would pay to watch, though.

They like hot weather, so let them settle on Mercury or Venus

There is plenty of room on Tatooine although it might be slightly outside of Federation borders.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

I don't think we want a bunch of Vulcan refugees on Earth.  Although, the places we find most inhospitable and least desirable would be the ones they like the most.

Still Vulcans value their privacy and probably wouldn't want to share a planet with humans.  They also would not be legally allowed to practice the Kal If Fee on Earth.  If their remnat has more males than females, i imagine it would be practiced more regularly.

Vulcan revenge would consist of altering Romulan society until it mirrored their own. Death would be preferable.
