Our Government's "General Services Administration" - you know the group that supposedly tries to get the best prices for the government - often telling a company to charge less than their costs..... well, they spent $820,000 dollars on a conference near Las Vegas for only 300 people...
Included in that is:
- $146,000 on food ($44 / person for breakfast and $4 per shrimp at a coctail reception)
- $130,000 just to scout the hotel location (six trips)
- $75,000 on a training exercise to build a bicycle
The person in charge was fired, but that doesn't recoup our tax dollars.

We could cut defense spending and stop making wars. that will cut spending.
Also If Obama magages to remove tax loopholes and tax breaks on the rich(uber), will guess what, that means more income for the government. also the Blaze is not a credible source.

You do realize that Entitlements are, by far the largest portion of the budget.... roughly THREE TIMES defense and growing fast! The issue is unConstitutional SPENDING, not taxation.
And you're wrong about taxation - whenever taxation goes higher, actual tax revenue lowers. I've posted many times here with a lot of history showing it. Should the tax code be simplified? Of course! But taxation should be equal per dollar - no discrimination - no penalizing - no subsidizing.
The Blaze is a very credible source - they at least provide source material as appropriate. You may not like them telling the truth, but they'll print it anyway.

Well, the cost of living is understandably high in large East Coast cities. But, remember Independence Day? A lot of the exaggerated costs are actually funneled into black ops programs, so no one realizes where, and to whom, the money really goes.

And people wonder why goverments go bankrupt.....
Example: Stockton, California.... retired police chief Tom Morris gets a retirement pension of $204K after serving an entire eight months.....
These beaurocrats love spending someone else's money....

At a hearing on Amtrak last Thursday, it was noted that since being required to break even since 1981, Amtrak's food & beverage service has never done so.... 30 years of straight losses....
Examples of Amtrak: It sells soft drinks for $2 but actually cost the taxpayer $3.40. Hamburgers sell for $9.50, but cost the taxpayer a whopping $16. Therefore, even if Amtrak sold 100% of their inventory, it would still be impossible for them to break even....

Funny story; the actual cost to taxpayers is nothing. Amtrak is operated as a privately owned business. Therefore the government doesn't pay anything.
And then, on top of that, Republicans want to "fix" this problem by replacing workers with vending machines. In other words, killing jobs. Again.
I'm curious as to why American conservatives hate American jobs.

Amtrak is a privately owned business?
The US government owns all the preferred stock.
It received 1.5 billion dollars from the government to cover costs last year.
The Board of Directors is picked by the POTUS and confirmed by the Senate.
This must be some weird definition of "private" I am not familiar with.
