I loved both for different reasons. FC is probably my favorite of the two because it makes Picard more flawed than the perfect person he was in TNG - "And I ... will make them pay for what they've done!" I could never take the TNG characters too seriously because they were way too perfect in the shows (except for Worf and sometimes Data), but the movies made them more realistic. I also loved how FC showed us the birth of Star Trek, which was desperately needed even though nobody knew it yet.

I also think Nemesis was great because despite what others think, I loved the interaction between Picard and Shinzon, as well as Data and B-4. And the film did have that feeling of finality to it, which I thought was great and sad at the same time. Plus that epic space battle at the end was awesome, too.

Frist Contact is great hands down, nememsis killed me with the homoeroctic nood before date did the very impossible space jump. Picard's "clone" was not a clone!!! Just because hes bald doesn't make him picard, in the Next Gen episodes we saw young picard with a head full of redish/blond hair!!!!

Just a thought, but the 'clone' of Picard was living with the Remans on Remus and there could have been issues while living there that could have casued the 'clones' baldness at a young age.  Just a thought there

First Contact was by far the better of the two.  The story was more original and it brought a sort of resolution to Picard and his relationship with the Borg--if you want to call it that.  Nemisis was just plain dark and seemed way too similar to Wrath of Kahn.

Nemesis does not stand the test of time.  Nor does it have James Cromwell in it.  I'd have to give it to First Contact.

Stolen for that very reasons stated above

I like them both, but really -- was there ever any competition?

I think I agree with everyone here that First Contact is the superior film even though I don't relish time travel plots all that much.

Nemesis had some really good elements to it, but it never blended into a great film in my humble opinion.  There are moments where I say I liked that or I liked this, but you don't come away saying that was a great film.
