Star Trek

To me Star Trek mean imagination and hope for the future of mankind.

 Star Trek, to me, means a future that while unobtainable in reality, is nevertheless desireable and worth wanting.

Star Trek helped me look beyond a rough upbringing, convincing me that there were positive things in store for my future and for humanity's future, and that I just needed to hang on to see them. And you know, Star Trek was right.

Star Trek means to me that I get to share it with my son and watch all the joy and enjoyment that I felt come to life in him.

hope, hope in the future, where we won't kill ourselves off.

Also, we will have really awesome starships...

For me, Star Trek is my Nexus. No matter what may be going on in my life, I know I can sit down and watch Star Trek and all life's stress and anxiety goes away. Watching any of the series takes me back to my childhood and fond memories of my family. It relaxes me so much, I have actually watched Star Trek to help me fall asleep some nights. 

StarTrek shows the possibilities ahead , the deeper understanding of self and the acceptance of life that is different . It gives us only one line to look at the future , but expanded that look to encompas so many other ways that could be possible as well . As well , it brings to light , more than the ideas that seperate us , but also the ideas and facts that show how similar we all are . Long live the trek .

"What does Star Trek mean to you?” 

It represents the ultimate adventure and curiosity of what's out there.  It also gives me the message to perform to the best of your ability and to learn from each culture without prejudice.

Star Trek fascinated me. It introduced me to sci-fi, astronomy, and NASA. Watch, learn, relax at the same time. Wonderful.

For me Star Trek means "Home".

I grew up watching Star Trek at my Grandparent`s place, it was the one and only show they would let me watch during supper time. I got to have a TV tray set up in the livingroom, just especially so I wouldn`t miss my favorite show- Star Trek (The Original Series). It meant the world to me, and it`s something I never forgot.

Star Trek means hope for the future of science and peace and understanding in humanity. It means great character stories and geeky science. 

Star Trek means the beginning of a long tradition of my new boyfriend and I watching every Star Trek series and the movies together. 

Star Trek to me is passion, a future, innovation, imagination.

To me, Star Trek is childhood memories and it's what sparked my interest in space and science fiction.  It's the reason we have made certain technological advances such as pocket sized cell phones and touch screen phones and computers.  Star Trek is the reason we went to space and to the moon.

>Star Trek has ALWAYS been a show I could count on to lift my Spirit whenever the real world got me down.  It still gives me strength inside...I believe in the premise of the show.....The storylines give me the belief that someday humanity will get its head out of its butt and rise above the emotional junk we still struggle with even now.  Watching Star Trek - ANY Star Trek, guarentees me a better mood and a kick in the pants to better myself!
