Please, Noooo!  There aren't many people I actively dislike in Trek, but the boy wonder is one.  Even now, rewatching the DVDs, if I see a Wesley Crusher or Troi centered episode, I generally skip it.

nope

Although, I am pleased that the rate of 3 new topics PER DAY on "new series ideas" has remained strong and steady.

I'll have to pass, back when he was young I found him cute and whatnot but now... not so much. Plus his character isn't captain material.

What exactly would he do?  He's a terrorist who got locked up in a labor camp.  Do you want the show about the labor camp?  A little depressing, don't you think?

A successful show takes more than a singular plot element or individual liked character, it takes a great writing staff, multiple interesting characters, and thought provoking plots. Why do so many think of a single concept and try to weave a show around it? I want fresh trek material but creating a show is more complicated than one pierson can dream up.

If you want more trek, first cbs needs proof that it will have an audience. Help prove the audience is here, but leave the ideas to the professionals.

Thank you Mr. CBS, but i for one will continue to express my opinion openly and if that happens to be an idea then it will go out there. But thank you for your suggestion.

response:

no, i dont think it would be all that depressing, they have had worse in the realm of depressing, ie battlestar galactica, a sshow about a group of people who are trying to survive genocide

And I will continue to express mine. Once again, why do you take comments not even aimed at you so personally. Simma down na.

But I am glad you've decided to participate in trek discussion now.

As someone once pointed out to me, and rightly so, Trek isn't Battlestar Galactica. Trek must always have a message of hope and promise. Any conflict is just a test of our faith and growth as a race. How would a labor camp show do that, just because it's set in the 24th century Trek universe.

I want to see a character that isn't labeled as 'gay' have a nice, normal romance with no hint of prejudice, no allegory and no message at all. Just put it there, like it happens all the time and no one gives a damn, which is exactly how it should be. I don't want a story about how no one understands them or how society isn't accepting, just have it happen. ~ SLagonia

Its not my job to write the inspirational motivation or meaning of the show, i only posted that it would be interesting
