Really pleased to see The Animated Series make it to Netflix!  Despite being a looonnng time Trekker, I hadn't really seen TAS since the late eighties when it was shown on cable, as a kid of about 12.  I'm only two episodes in, and although I still think the animation is pretty much atrocious (well, not as bad as I seem to have recalled perhaps), the stories are good and closer to the original series than I had thought they would be.

Good on ya, CBS and Netflix, for putting it up!  Now, I think there's a great opportunity here if you were to reanimate TAS to modern standards.....just a thought!

I hope they don't pull one of the other series to make room for it. I've been doing a rewatch of VOY and I'm up to Equinox, I want to finish it out to Endgame.

Agreed. I'm going through tng and voy now, then I plan on hitting up ds9. I may hold off on tng though if it is true they are posting a remastered edition soon.

I'm just thrilled about the availability on that format.  I like being able to skip episodes so easily on that interface and I like being able to access it anywhere there is wifi without needing to have large amounts of data on my harddrive or a bundle of disks in my briefcase.

To the point, I wouldn't want the series re-animated.  A new animated series would be welcome, but the original animation is part of what makes the animated series a classic.
