Got my gold tickets this morning.
I hope I don't end up regretting it, with my financial situation and all, but I want to see Alice Krige.

Wow, it sounds like it's going to be fun! Too bad I won't be able to go; I went this year and am now completely broke.

The Las Vegas con is one of the most expensive. There are other cons that offer lower prices.
That being said The Creation Las Vegas Con is one of the best .
The most stars
The most vendors .
I attended the 2006 con I stayed at the Riverara and the Hilton.
When I went STTE was still up and running I am so glad I went that year.
I can't go to another Vegas con until there is a STTE there.

When I went last year, I got the Weekend Preferred, and that was around $300. However, I think the prices tend to increase as the convention nears and/or there are a few tickets left, so I suggest getting them as soon as possible. I don't know how much it costs for single days at the Vegas con, but at the Chicago one they were either $25 or $50. Obviously, the Vegas con will be a bit more.

Exactly why I must stick to my stomping grounds and just go to Chicago. This gal simply cannot afford much more.

That's probably what I'll have to do from now on. I literally saved my money for two years so I could go to the Vegas Con. Luckily, my dad pitched in, mainly because we went to the Grand Canyon on the way there.

okay, so,
no more meeting at McFadden's! Yikes, what an horrible little place. Last convention, I tried to bring my brother in for a drink (it was his first convention) and for him to meet other Trek Folks. What a disaster: we didn't make it past the door. Stink, NOISE, a little hole of a place under the Choas that is the Rio. BRING BACK QUARK'S (!) If we cannot, then let us agree to hang out at a bar that makes sense for the likes of US. It would have to be within walking distance of the Rio, of course, since that's where the convention is.... However, if McFadden's is the ONLY option (there never is only one option), we should open someone's room and buy our own booze and open our OWN Quark's.... thoughts?
