I recently watched the entire Enterprise series and am halfway through Voyager.  ( I watched some episodes during their original runs).

Two things in particular stand out to me:

1) The amount of techno jargon in Voyager is overbearing (esp coming from Enterprise)

2) The strength of a series is heavily influenced by how well their captains are protrayed, with help from the crew.

IMO, Enterprise had one of the weakest leaders of the different ST series.  Archer was contantly angry, and yelling at his subordinates, and making some questionable decisions.  Compare this with Captain Picard, who I think (along with Data) made the TNG series.

I also think Voyager had a great Captain in Janeway , she was bold and made hard decisions in the show and is a great actress (like Picard)

I also agree with some of the comments about the crew on Voyager.   Chakotay was interesting in the beginning but by season 3-4 he lost alot of luster (for whatever reason).  I didn't mind Neelix or Paris, and I thought B'elanna did a respectable job.  I liked Kes but she and Tuvok were a love em or hate em kind of deal.  (there are threads about whether Tuvok wa,s the worst, or one of the best Vulcans ever in the series.. quite a variance in opinion)   The doctor was good, but Kim was very poorly written.  So it was a mixed bag.  Which is probably a big part of why Voyager is a mixed bag to its audience.

I don't know I always really liked Voyager it's my favorite series. I liked how there was a definit end to the show, and a long term goal; to get home. If you wanna talk bad acting though Jennifer Lien (Kes) was terrible, her stressed out face looked like she had to poop all the time. Finally the Janeway Chakotay deal they were just friends and they had alot of respect for each other, it would have been ruined if janeway hooked up with anyone.

I have to disagree. Jennifer was a good actress, but was the victim of some bad writing. It's sad that just as her character was getting good (the episode Warlord, I think we saw Lien at her best), she was given the boot.

Janeway and Chakotay definitely had that spark, but carried it no further while on Voyager and rightfully so, but some happiness should have been given to her at the end. Janeway for all the hell she suffered, deserved some happiness.

'Stressed out face' on Jennifer Lien?? Eh...I think not. QUITE the opposite, IMO. And, as for Jen's acting, Kate has in the past said ''She's one hell of an actress'' . No less than Roger Ebert even commented once, that she should have gotten a Best Supporting Actress nom for her role as Davina Vinyard in ''American History X''.

Voyager had alot of potential, a ship lost in space trying to find a way home with two apposing crews, the Maquis and Starfleet, they should had kept that conflict going..Janeway's weakness was she's a little too human alot of times when starship captains need to be super human all the time.

True to some extent, but I think what made Janeway likable was the fact that she was human and compassionate and honestly embodied the ideas of the Federation and Starfleet perhaps more than any other captain.

You're right.  I had forgotten about Enterprise because I hardly ever watched it!  It was definitely weaker than Voyager!
