Ok, I just saw "Skin of Evil". I was really sad that Tasha died (I cried). How about you guys and gals?

Relieved, actually. I didn't like her character, which was more about Crosby acting than disliking Yar who I sort've respected, because the character was obviously earnest, loyal, and brave.

Just rewatched the first season of TNG. At that point in the show, Tasha was far more interesting and useful than Troi. She was a major loss for the show but it was Crosby's choice.

The only reason she was fired was for doing playboy I really liked her character although Worf seemed to fit into the job really well.

I was sad of course but the other characters grew and just became so well portrayed and three dimensional in their own right that I was never really hung up on it. It was early enough in the series that they could do that without any serious outbursts from the fans.

When I saw Skin of Evil first time I cried my eyes out. And it still makes me cry sometimes. I love Tasha, they should have killed Beverly. And by the way, Denise was not fired because of playboy, she wanted to leave so she left.

It's too bad Denise left the series. I like Tasha, myself. ''Yesterday's Enterprise'' came along, and we got a chance to see another version of her, in a great ep. And it was nice seeing her as Sela, and in ''AGT''.

I remember that episode when I was a young kid, before the war that took place later on here. Our TV broadcasted TNG first time I think.
I was like 12-13 years old (can't recall exactly what year it was, but I think it was around 1990-1991).
Tasha is important character as I somehow had sympathy for her, I think I was in love, and that would be possibly my first love.
I was watching TNG last year, first time after 20 years I think, I didn't had emotional input for Tasha, except that childhood memory. My favourite female character in TNG at this age is Ensign Ro.

I wasn't a huge Tasha fan, but for some reason the funeral scene made me cry a bit.
I don't know, maybe I'm just a sucker for a good farewell.

I wish Sela had been in Nemesis. Crosby should have been included in the farewell.

I've never thought of this before, but you're right. That would've been a great addition to Nemesis. That's one thing I dislike about Sela, is that it was just a totally dropped storyline. In both Redemption and Unification, we're led to believe that she's going to be this huge villain, and then she disappears, never to be seen or heard from again after Unification. I just thought it was done very poorly unfortunately. But they did the same thing with Conspiracy. We were led to believe that would go somewhere and it never did.

Hard to say. I'm sure I felt a bit sad, because I really did like her. However, since then I've seen so much growth and development for her character in fanfiction, that right now, rewatching the first season, I'm a bit baffled by how little of a character was actually established in the series...
