It was a little sad just to randomly kill her off for no reason, but I never really liked her anyway.

I honestly didn't care all that much. I mean I Felt a bit sad for the other characters but at that point in the series, I hadn't really connected with her like I did with the others.

Seeing her die did not affect me at all. I think theshowpicked up once Worf was head of security. In the first season it was hard watching Tsha and Worf side by side. She was head of Security yet many times it was Worf that stepped up first making security suggestions that should have come from Yar. It really didn't surprise me thatshe died, it was almost like one of them had to.

I really liked Gates' acting in the Sick Bay scene - the tension is palpable. Even when it was clear to her that Tasha wasn't "responding" and was beyond saving, she kept trying. That kind of tugged at the heartstrings ... and the crew's reactions, during and after.

I really liked Tasha. I Don't really understand why people hate her so much, But anyone is free to share their opinion with me. She did a good job in Yesterdays Enterprise, and as Sela. At least she wasn't forgotten, Like Kes.

I personally think the way she died was lame. And i enjoyed her character , but if she didn't die maybe Lt.Worf wouldn't have had a bigger role.
Stupid Black pile of goo evil!!

I really liked Tasha Yar as a character, and I think it would have been really nice to see her develop with the rest of the crew.
Her actual death, however, was just so... bland... or something, I was just kinda like "oh, that sucks" and that was it. At least the memorial service scene was pretty well done, especially Data's line at the end... I don't cry watching movies/TV very easily, but that had me a bit choked up.

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING!
When I was watching this ep my sister walked in and was like "why are they having a funeral service on a real life version of the windows background???"
