Post count doesn't decrease after deleting a post

I have noticed that when deleting my own posts in the past. It is odd.

It is true that someone with a helluva lot of patience and time on his handscould indeed inflate his post count, but I really do not think that people really care all that much about that here as much as maybe some do about rank- and of course, the number of posts is not the sole factor in determining rank. I would not be concerned about it.
