Very true. If not, TOS would have had a 4th season. Can't say if that would have been good or bad in the end, but it is what it is.

Another tragedy is that animated Star Trek in another form ha never been attempted. As the only emmy-winning Trek, you'd think they would have some incentive, even if animation was mostly a thankless medium in the US back then.
