I wonder what DATA's responce would be to a sister? And what would LORE do? And B4, would he know the difference from a male to a female?

with or without emotions? 

I think it would have worked if they had found an actress who could really sell it as Brent Spiner did for male Data

The female data would especially have more trouble fitting into the female side of huminaty bc of the lack of emtions (emotions which females are sterotyped on having (which is not true)). For data that would be execlent for him because he would have someone to relate to but being a female instead of a male.

Riker definately would have made his move.

I think Geordi and Data would have more than just a friendship.

As a robot in the shape of a male, Data could be
portrayed as an innocent - as any machine-being
WOULD be. As a femail they would've tried to turn
DATA into Seven of Nine - a curvy, sexually-repressed
Ice Queen in a painted-on catsuit (camel toe and all).
On the other hand, Guinan would have needed very few
modifications to represent the feminine version of Data.

Uhhhh no. For 2 reasons.

1 ~ Brent Spiner is epic. I have literally never seen a better actor than Brent Spiner. Like OneDamnMinuteAdmiral said, no female actor could ever really hit it as much as Spiner did.

2 ~ Then I couldn't be "married" to Data!!!  lolz.

Riker would have been in there from day 1, you just know it...

yeah, brent spiner is the greatist actor of all time.

"fistfull of datas" and "masks" proves that.

both episodes he took on multiple charactors.

a seven of nine style female android would be a nice alternative, BUT; remember when data built himself a daughter   that was a pure disaster!
