Just watch the final episode of sTNG season 2, "Shades of Gray". WTF is up with that? Was there a writers strike that week? Has to be the worst episode of any of the six series!

Actually, if you check Wikipedia, it seems that there was a strike during the show's 2nd season and they had to use some of TOS's scripts. Maybe, that episode was one of them....

The writers' strike is also why there were only 22 (or 21.5 & some flashbacks) episodes in season 2 as opposed to 26 in each of the other seasons.

Why didn't we really get Andorians in TNG? Or Tellerites, or Deltans?

I do not but my guess is that they want to explore more races.

I do not but my guess is that they want to explore more races.

At first, no doubt. But it hurts that the one time they did do an Andorian, it was green instead of blue.

It seems to me that after TNG the Roddenberry philosophy became skewed. I do not like the fact that Sisko was a religious icon. Voyager was more to my taste but at the same time they obviously just revisited alot of TNG themes. With ENT it’s like they just threw the book out the window.

I just watched the episode "The Offspring" and I cried sooo hard! A very, very beautiful episode. Just as much as "The Bonding". There are some episodes with so much, let's say, wisdom, but served in a very beautiful, simple an pleasant way.
