The Manticore is in the Badlands to destroy a dozen secret Federation probes left in this strange area of space, with the help of the Wyvern and Griffin fighter/shuttles.  The Wyvern was disabling a probe when a terrible series of events led to the explosion of the probe and (it seemed) the Wyvern.  The Manticore crew is in shock, but is finishing the mission, unaware that the Wyvern crew now seems to be alive and stuck in a starless void in a severly damaged shuttle.

The USS Manticore is an advanced simulation sponsored by the Star Trek Simulation Forum. Although play is restricted to pre-assigned crew members who have graduated from Starfleet Academy, all are welcome to come watch. The game begins at 10 pm ET Monday nights in the Manticore chat area accessible at www.stsf.net directly or through links here at startrek.com.

A Starfleet Academy open to all interested participants is being held at 10 pm ET Monday evening in the Holodeck chat area at www.stsf.net.
