>s. Star Trek actors in music videos. Bet you didn't think there were any but there are! There could be more than what i'm going to post. But these are the ones I know about. British pop group Bananarama's only hit song in America was Cruel Summer. There was another song of theirs' from the 80s (I've forgotten the name of it) in which Leonard Nimoy appears as a chauffeur driving a limousine. .!  .

The group is not Bananarama.  It is "The Bangles" and the video is "Going Down to Liverpool" and, yes, Leonard Nimoy plays a limo driver.

You can google it and watch it.

Also, watch Leonard Nimory singing "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins", surrounded by Hobbits.

Stovokor2000A, I didn't know Kelsey Grammer was in X-Men, interesting. That would be worth seeing.

Lady Vulcan, The Bangles? Oops my mistake! Hey at least I remembered it was a group that started with a B! LOL. I only ever saw a bit of the video once or twice back in the 80s so it's been a long time!

I don't know how little-known this is, but I thought it was cool. I just discovered this about two days ago. There's a crime series that we are all obsessed with at my house called "Criminal Minds". In one episode, "Minimal Loss", Trip, or Connor Trineer has a minor role in the episode as a member of the local police force named Dan Torre. I was sitting with my mom watching the episode, paying more attention to it than normal, and I said, all of a sudden, "That's Trip!"

Another one: Dr. Phlox, Jon Billingsley, also appeared in a number of shows we watch around here. He showed up in an epsiode of "Criminal Minds" as well, an episode called "A Shade of Gray". He also appeared in CSI, the original one, in an episode called "The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp", and in an episode of NCIS, called "In The Dark". He also showed up in one of my favorite movies, "A Cinderella Story" as the science teacher, and in "The West Wing" in one of my mom's favorite episodes, "Somebody's Going to Emergency, Somebody's Going to Jail".

And I also love Brent Spiner's episodes of Night Court.

I had forgotten all about that, but now that you mention it, I wonder why I didn't see that before. You, my good Trekkie, are witness to one of the rare moments where I say that I've missed something.

"I totally missed that."

How lucky you are!

I seem to remember reading that in TOS that wasn't Walter Koenig's (Chekov) real hair. He was supposedly made to wear a wig so that he'd resemble one of The Monkees, but I forget which one. Anybody else ever hear that?

The Monkees became really popular at the time Star Trek originally aired, so to help Star Trek appeal to a younger audience, they decided to add the Chekov character (that's why his character came later).

From what I understand, he was originally going to be British, but then they decided (supposedly from comments the show received) that a Russian should be represented on ship in the 23rd century, since Russians originally made many advancements in space exploration.

So the Chekov character was created, Russian, but with a Beatle's haircut like Davy Jones.  This supposedly brought along a younger, and female, audience to Star Trek.  I must admit, when I was really young I thought Chekov was really cute.

What's funny is, I was a big Monkees fan, too.  I saw them in concert twice.  But, then again, I've been to four Star Trek conventions, also.

And I've met Micky Dolenz of the Monkess.

And I've met all of the original (still living) Star Trek TOS cast, and yes, that includes Walter Koenig.

That's interesting Vulcan Lady, thanks. Yes I think it was Davy Jones, I do think there's a bit of a resemblance between him and Walter Koenig.

>Leonard Nimoy was involved in two Transformer movies. the first was the 86 animated movie where he voiced Galvatron, and the second was in the last TF movie were he voiced Sentinel Prime.

>
I just remembered that he was also considered for the voice of The Fallen in Transformers 2, but Micheal Bay didn't want to ask him to do it because his wife is related to Nimoy.

and Leonard Nimoy isint the only actor known for Trek to have voiced a Transformer over the years.

Michael Bell ,the actor to play Groppler Zorn in the TNG pilot and Drofo Awa in DS9's The Maquis, Part II did the voice's for a good number of the G1 Transformers most noteable characters  Prowl and Sideswipe.Bell also voiced character for the Superfriends, the Smurfs ,G I Joe and much more.

Roger C Carmel [Harry Mudd] was the voice of Cyclonus in the first transaformers film back in 86

Chris Collins also known as Chris Latta ,who played Captain Kargan in TNG's "Shades of grey, and other characters in tng asnd DS9, is very well known for doing the voice of Transformers G1 Starscream, and Cobra Commander in GIjoe.
